Caring for Your Dog in Summer Heat
Ways to keep your dog cool and safe in hot weather.
Dogs are more sensitive to heat than humans and can't sweat. A few simple precautions in summer prevent heatstroke.
Cool and Water
Always provide shade and fresh water. Avoid walks during hot hours (11-16); asphalt can burn paws.
Never Leave in a Car
Heat in a closed car becomes deadly within minutes. Don't leave your dog in a car even for a short time.
Heatstroke Signs
Excessive panting, drooling, weakness and vomiting are emergency signs. Cool the dog and go to the vet immediately.
Summer Care Tips
- Don't walk during hot hours
- Check asphalt heat with your hand
