What is Paviento?
Paviento is a guided mobile and web app that accompanies dog owners in their daily lives. It offers eight core features such as the Paviento Assistant, quick tracking, a reward system, basic obedience training, calmness and sound tools, and detailed reports. It personalizes content built on the science-based positive reinforcement method according to your dog's breed and age.
Is Paviento paid?
Paviento's core features are completely free. Quick tracking, daily reminders, limited chat, and basic reports are available to everyone. For unlimited chat access, detailed reports, all training units, and exclusive badges, there is Club membership. You can choose a monthly or annual plan.
Which devices does Paviento work on?
Paviento can be used as a mobile app via the iOS App Store and Google Play, and as a web version at paviento.com. With the same account, your progress stays automatically synced across your phone, tablet, and computer. You can continue a training session you started on your computer on your phone.
Which dog breeds is it suitable for?
Paviento is suitable for all breeds and mixed-breed dogs. Responses vary according to your dog's breed, age, and habits. Separate training plans are offered for puppies, adult, and senior dogs. It includes special guidance for popular breeds such as Golden Retriever, Labrador, Pomeranian, Husky, and Terrier.
How long does dog training take?
Every dog is different. Basic obedience training (sit, down, stay, come) usually takes 2 to 4 weeks. Correcting behavioral problems can show results between 4 and 12 weeks. Regular practice, consistency, and patience are the most important factors. A few minutes of repetition each day builds long-term habits.
How do I start dog training with Paviento?
After downloading the app and creating a free account, you enter your dog's profile. Recommendations come automatically based on breed, age, and current habits. It is advised to start with daily tasks first; three to five small steps each day build long-term habits. You can then move on to the basic obedience units.
How is alone-time training done?
Paviento's alone-time timer works with a gradual exposure method. You first leave your dog alone for very short periods, then for increasing durations. The time is recorded automatically, and progress can be tracked from the reports. This method is the scientifically recommended approach for dogs experiencing separation anxiety.
What are the calmness and sound exercises good for?
The calmness tool teaches daily life skills such as waiting at the door, settling on a mat, and pausing. The sound exercise performs gradual exposure (desensitization) to sounds such as a vacuum cleaner, doorbell, thunder, and fireworks. Both tools reduce your dog's overreaction to environmental stimuli and increase peace at home.
Does the assistant give veterinary advice?
No. The Paviento Assistant only provides guidance on general care, training, and behavior topics. It cannot make a medical diagnosis or recommend medication. If you have any concern about your dog's health, you must consult a veterinarian. In emergencies, go to the nearest 24-hour veterinary clinic.
Is my data safe?
All your data is stored with end-to-end encryption on Google Cloud infrastructure. It operates in compliance with KVKK (Turkish data protection law), and none of your data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes. Payment information is processed through PayTR's secure payment infrastructure, and card details are not kept on our servers.
Can I add more than one dog?
For now, only single-profile support is offered. Multi-profile support will be added in future updates. If you have more than one dog, we recommend creating a profile for the friend currently most active in training for now. When the new feature is released, you will be able to add extra profiles without affecting your existing profile.
How do I cancel my Club membership?
You can cancel by going to subscription management from the Settings section on mobile, or from your profile page on the web. A subscription started through the App Store or Google Play can also be canceled from the subscriptions section of the relevant store. You continue to use Club features until the end of the billing period, and no extra charge is taken.
When should puppy training begin?
Puppy training should begin between 8 and 12 weeks. This age range is known as the socialization period and is a critical time when the dog is open to new experiences. With early training, basic habits (toilet, crate, name recognition) become firmly established. Paviento's puppy module offers a step-by-step plan for your 2-3 month-old friends.
How do you potty train a puppy?
A 7-day gradual plan for potty training: Days 1-2, establish a regular toilet area (take them outside or to the pad within 5 minutes after food, water, play, and sleep); Days 3-4, add a command (the word 'toilet'); Days 5-6, give an immediate reward and praise when they do it correctly; Day 7+, clean up possible accidents calmly, never punishing. Paviento's daily tracking feature reminds you of the timing.
Can I take my puppy outside before it is vaccinated?
Before the full vaccination schedule (usually 4 months) is completed, a puppy should not be allowed to contact soil, parks, or unfamiliar dogs. However, since the socialization period (3-14 weeks) is critical, you can carry them around, introduce them to guests at home, and let them meet other vaccinated dogs in a controlled environment. Consult your veterinarian.
My puppy is chewing, how do I prevent it?
The teething process (3-6 months) increases chewing behavior in puppies. Solution: chew toys (Kong, hard rubber), a towel chilled in the refrigerator, keeping forbidden items out of reach. When they chew, say 'no' and redirect to an appropriate toy. Never punish; it is a natural developmental process. Paviento's behavior module offers a detailed solution.
Why is my dog barking, and how do I stop it?
The 5 main reasons for dog barking: attention-seeking, alert/protection, fear, separation anxiety, boredom. First identify the cause (Paviento's behavior diagnosis module helps). Solution: positive reinforcement + 'quiet' command training + sufficient exercise/mental stimulation. Never silence by shouting; the dog perceives this as a 'you bark too' signal.
My dog cries when left alone, what is the solution?
This situation is called 'separation anxiety.' Solution: gradual alone-time exercise (like 30 seconds -> 1 min -> 5 min -> 30 min...), keeping departure and return rituals simple (not making a big reaction), leaving a chew toy when you go, and veterinary consultation if needed. Paviento's alone-time timer tracks this process systematically.
My dog pulls on the leash, how do I fix it?
For leash-pulling training: a short leash (no long slack), the stop-and-wait technique (stop when the dog pulls, walk when it loosens), the 'heel' command, reward breaks. A front-clip chest harness (front-connected) mechanically reduces pulling. The 4-5 month range is a critical learning period; consistent work shows results in 2-3 weeks.
My dog attacks strangers, what should I do?
Aggressive behavior usually stems from fear, a protective instinct, or insufficient socialization. IMPORTANT: if there is a biting incident, consult a professional behaviorist or veterinary behavior specialist. General measures: use of a muzzle, socialization at a controlled distance, positive reinforcement (reward when seeing a stranger), limiting triggers. Paviento is only a support tool; in serious cases professional help is essential.
My dog is destroying things, how do I prevent it?
Reasons for destroying items: boredom, insufficient exercise, separation stress, teething (puppy), insufficient chew toys. Solution: 30-60 min of daily physical exercise + 15-30 min of mental play (puzzle feeder, scatter games), limiting access (closing doors, crate), providing acceptable chew toys. If the cause is separation anxiety, separate treatment is needed.
How is a Kangal dog trained?
The Kangal is Turkey's national breed and is genetically equipped with a flock-guarding instinct. Training tips: channeling the guarding instinct (not suppressing it), respect for its independent decision-making structure, early socialization (8-16 weeks), positive reinforcement (punishment backfires); leash-walking training in the 4-5 month range is critical. Kangal breeders often say it is 'untrainable,' but with the right method it is disciplined and loyal.
Is Golden Retriever training easy?
The Golden Retriever is one of the most trainable breeds. Thanks to its high intelligence + reward-oriented nature + love of people, basic commands are learned in 1-2 weeks. However, its playful and energetic nature lasts until age 2-3; patience and regular exercise are essential. Since it loves water, swimming + fetch games are the best exercise. Very well suited to a training-focused 'service dog' role.
Is owning a Husky difficult?
The Husky (Siberian Husky) is a high-energy, independent, and stubborn breed. The Turkish climate (especially southern regions) can be hard on them; air conditioning/a cool environment is essential. For training: positive reinforcement + constant mental stimulation (pulling games, scent searching), at least 1-2 hours of daily physical exercise, and never leaving them alone in the yard (escaping + howling). One of the least suitable breeds for apartment living.
What is Maltese Terrier training like?
The Maltese is clever and energetic despite its small size. Ownership tips: house toilet training requires patience (small bladder), prone to excessive barking, puts on a 'bravado act' in front of strangers (socialization is essential). Coat care is critical: daily brushing, monthly bath. One of the most suitable breeds for apartment living; be careful in homes with children.
Mixed breed or purebred?
Mixed-breed dogs are generally healthier (genetic diversity), longer-lived, and have more balanced temperaments. In Turkey, adopting from shelters is common and ethical. Purebred dogs, on the other hand, are chosen for users who need specific breed traits (e.g., shepherd dog = guard, retriever = hunting). Whatever the dog, it is trainable; Paviento offers suitable guidance regardless of breed.
What does a Paviento Club membership offer?
Club membership offers unlimited Paviento Assistant chat, access to all 60+ training modules, a monthly avatar credit, and detailed reports. The subscription does not auto-renew; when it expires it reverts to Standard membership and no surprise charge is taken.
How does avatar creation work?
We create an artistic avatar from your dog's photo. A 2-stage process: 1) Photo analysis (breed, pose, color), 2) Artistic interpretation generation. The first avatar is free for Standard members; Club members get 3 credits with each period's renewal. You can use the generated avatar as your profile picture and share it on social media.
What is Pavi Points used for?
Pavi Points is a motivation system. Every completed task (toilet record, training session, reminder completion) earns points. A streak (consecutive days) bonus increases them. At certain point levels, badges unlock (First Step, 7-Day Streak, Champion of the Month...). It is not yet used like a currency, but in future updates it will be used to unlock exclusive content.
What does the Routine Builder do?
The Routine Builder creates your daily dog care routine. You can add tasks to the morning/noon/evening sections (walk, food, training session, play, bath). A time is set for each task, and an automatic notification arrives. Statistics are tracked as tasks are completed. Regular routine tracking makes it noticeably easier for your dog to form habits.
Which is the best dog training app in Turkey?
Paviento is a comprehensive dog training app developed in Türkiye, producing Turkish content, KVKK-compliant, and based on a positive reinforcement methodology. Trusted by dog lovers in Türkiye, it includes special modules for local breeds (Kangal, Akbash). It can be downloaded for free on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
Does at-home dog training really work?
Yes. Scientific research shows that consistent, positive-reinforcement-based training at home is more effective than professional class training. The dog learns daily within the family and bonds with them. What matters: consistency (family members should apply the same rules), short and frequent sessions (5-15 min), a positive approach. Paviento guides you through this process.
Should I use punishment in dog training?
No. Modern behavioral science has proven that punishment-based training is harmful in the long run: it increases the risk of stress, fear, and aggression. Positive reinforcement (rewarding correct behavior) is both effective and aligned with animal welfare. Paviento is based 100% on positive reinforcement and contains no punishment. The 'redirection' technique is used to channel destructive behaviors.
